14th Congressional Democrat Race

The local Democrats are fairly energized by the candidacy of two Illinois Presidential candidates competing for the Presidency.

They are confident that the race will bring about strong numbers for them in the primary and will collect votes from many independent voters opposed to the war. They are hopeful that the same attitude will prevail from the strong Democrat turnout in the 2006 general election.

Will the financial strength of Foster be a factor? Will the strength of the message of Jon Laesch continue onto this race or will Stein's early start be a factor?

A strong debate on all the issues is a benefit to the entire 14th district.

14th District GOP Congressional Race

It is the fear of many Kane County Republicans that the bitterness of this race may reach unprecedented levels.

If the three candidates and their devoted followers continue to beat each other to a personal and professional pulp there may be little left for the Republican candidate in the 14th District to promote after the devisive primary.

It may be time for them to step back, re-evaluate and bring one strong candidate forward to lead the 14th Congressional District.

Perhaps a round or two of rock,paper,scissors?
